The examined life: Robert George and Cornel West on the purpose of liberal arts education- www.aei.org
Here I am, sitting and wondering
My head spins, my heart pounds, my ideas are thundering
Lightening splinters throughout my soul
My heart and its passion just want to know who to serve and where to go
Where do I invest my life and spirit?
I've hit a road block of "I don't knows"
Somewhere out there is a road calling my name
But it seems as though I've become deaf and blind...
“It’s dark because you are trying too hard. Lightly child, lightly. Learn to do everything lightly. Yes, feel lightly even though you’re feeling deeply. Just lightly let things happen and lightly cope with them. I was so preposterously serious in those days… Lightly, lightly – it’s the best advice ever given me…So throw away your baggage and go forward. There are quicksands all about you, sucking at your feet, trying to suck you down into fear and self-pity and despair. That’s why you must walk so lightly. Lightly my darling…”
- Aldous Huxley

"A Woman in harmony with her spirit
is like a river flowing.
She goes where she will without pretense
and arrives at her destination
prepared to be herself
and only herself"
― Maya Angelou
Illuminated: a moment in Christ's time
The cold of the desolate mountains
Pine trees blanketed in the comforting snow
His peaks illuminated in the distance by the curious moon
The stillness of the world brought to life
Smells of crisp air & the passing of pipe tobacco
The stillness and peace more bone chilling than the winter air itself
Piercing silence screaming allowed-
drowning even the thoughts of man
left with only a beating heart and the desperate desire of the Lord's will
The only movement
that of the communion of breath from the few around me
Companions in Christ's mission
filling the breaks in silence with His wisdom
enlightening the surrounding minds in search for the Infinite Love
Souls sing praises of thanksgiving for these stirring & deepening moments.

"You know I never dream about it? It's because it's on my mind all day long everyday. I don't need to dream about it, I think about it all the time."
